Tim Grady Just colossal. A beautiful noise. Well worth buying if you are a fan of hypnotic doom/drone metal. A record to lose yourself in some crushing bass heavy vibrations. Lovely stuff :) Favorite track: orissa.

Gina Jordan I'm new to this band, mostly I love their heaviness and darkness, reminds me of Ufomammut. Favorite track: justice.

"Let me tell you, Suma do NOT fuck around – they mean BUSINESS, and their business is cracking your skull WIDE open with their sheer, unrelenting, massive HEAVINESS. Imagine The Melvins’ ‘Lysol’ being played at you full-blast through a wind-tunnel full of Dark Matter; THAT heavy. Seriously, I have no idea how many people there are in this band, or if indeed you can even CALL them ‘people’, but opening track ‘Headwound’ crushes you flat with the sound of what must be four or five THINGS manning EACH instrument. The drums, the guitars, the throbbing, pulsing bass, the howling vocals, ALL sound totally inhuman and mind-bendingly HUGE. THIS is what Lovecraft was describing when he said “a mountain walked or stumbled”. I shit you not.

It’s easy to forget just how much of an influence Neurosis has actually had on heavy music until you encounter a band that evokes that instantly recognisable Neurosis sound like Sweden’s Suma do. Don’t see this observation as a casting of aspersions on Suma however but rather as a compliment because, even though they do channel the familiar sound pioneered by Neurosis, they are far from copycats and instead use the style as a building block from which to construct their brand of crushingly heavy doom."

Comme Satan Worshipping Doom et Miserable, Terminal est un album qui vraiment toute son ampleur quand il est écouté d'une traite car il s'agit d'une lente agonie qui s'étend sur presque trois-quarts d'heure. Les sonorités psychédéliques propres à Bongripper sont absentes et le stoner/doom metal du quartette tend plutôt vers une sphère atmosphérique (certains arpèges de "Slow" ne sont pas éloignés de celles de Earth) voire funéraire et la mort finit par s'imposer comme la seule évidence possible.
